The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Admissions Advisor.
The individual in this position recruits and enrolls prospective students by advising prospective students over the phone, online or in person to provide information about Auburn's admissions process, scholarship opportunities, academic programs and educational and extra-curricular opportunities.
This individual will recruit and enroll a diverse population of students through extensive travel to include day and evening college fair programs, visiting high schools, participating in campus recruitment activities, and other recruitment events.
Recruitment travel is extensive and includes day and night programs, in-state and out-of-state travel.
Recruitment includes presenting campus tour information sessions, assisting with walk-in appointments while in the office and hosting off-campus student meetings.
This individual will collaborate with others within the University by attending training opportunities throughout the year in order to ensure up-to-date information is provided to potential students.
The individual in this position will participate in the admissions process of students to include reviewing applications and recommending students for admission.
This position works with high school counselors to create a positive image of Auburn University.
This position may be based on-campus or in the travel territory.
The travel territory includes Alabama counties: Blount, Cullman, Dekalb, Jackson, Madison, Marshall and Morgan.
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Education, Communications Marketing, Counseling, Public/Business Administration or related field.
Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
Level II requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Communications, Marketing, Counseling, Public/Business Administration or related field plus two (2) years of experience in public relations, marketing, recruiting, advising, and/or counseling.
Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience.
